What is food grade stainless steel

Food grade stainless steel refers to metal materials that comply with the National Standards of the People's Republic of China/Hygienic Standards for Stainless Steel Tableware Containers GB4806.9-2016 and do not dissolve various alloys and harmful substances during the use of acid and alkali in food production.
Specific standards
Food grade stainless steel
Various containers and food containers for storing food
The processing machinery should use austenitic or ferritic stainless steel (1Cr18Ni9Ti, 0Cr19Ni9, 1Cr18Ni9, 1Cr17Ni2). Martensite stainless steel (0Cr13, 1Cr13, 2Cr13, 3Cr13) can also be used for grinding tools and drilling tools in processing part.
The specific physical and chemical indicators are as follows:
Project Austenitic stainless steel Ferritic martensitic stainless steel
Lead (calculated as Pb), in mg/L 4% acetic acid immersion solution ≤ 1.0 1.0.
Chromium (calculated as Cr), mg/L ≤ 0.5 in 4% acetic acid immersion solution
Nickel (calculated as Ni), in mg/L 4% acetic acid immersion solution ≤ 3.0 1.0.
Cadmium (calculated as Cd), ≤ 0.02 0.02 in mg/L 4% acetic acid solution.
Arsenic (calculated as As), ≤ 0.04 0.04 in mg/L 4% acetic acid solution.
Note: The soaking conditions are all boiling for 30 minutes and then room temperature for 24 hours.
